Often times we seek to be independent! Realize the part of you that seeks independence and then be honest with yourself to determine what it is that you truly want to be independent from. Understand that ‘thing’ and you will be moving closer towards your independence. Notice that usually we want to be independent from a negative emotion regarding that something, not the “something” itself. But here is the real question, is it ever okay to feel dependent? Why does that not feel safe to us?
